Position Summary: The Technical Development Manager for CS2 / Facilities will develop and manage the skilled trades personnel to support Bemis in the fabrication, installation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and all facilities.
This person will establish and promote the maintenance of safe and healthy working conditions and recommend measures to reduce or eliminate industrial accident and health hazards in compliance with OSHA regulations.

Supervisor Responsibilities: Recruit, interview, hire, and train new staff in the department.
Mentor and guide direct reports.
Oversee the daily workflow of the direct reports.
Specific Responsibilities: *Drive and own a culture of safety, teamwork, innovation, and customer service within the CS2 department.
*Pro-actively lead, develop, and participate in cross functional teams designed to improve the quality and effectiveness of the CS2 department and technical trades.
*High level prioritizing and evaluation of team workloads and implementation needs for engineering and manufacturing projects.
*Facilitate or assist equipment installations, capital projects, and maintenance services that involve the coordination of contractors, multiple parties, and planned outages.
*Manage the Preventive Maintenance (CMMS) system.
*Update and maintain PM schedules using data from the CMMS and feedback from the skilled trades and other technical resources.
*Conduct research, analysis and interpret equipment data, to assist with improving maintenance and operations processes.
*Evaluate labor requirements, recommend staffing levels, and participate in the selection and onboarding of new personnel.
*Supervise the apprentice programs and recommend additional training as required in partnership with HR.
*Determine equipment needs for CS2.
Source, evaluate, recommend, and execute the purchase of equipment.
*Ensure annual reviews for the Millwright, Electrician, and Machinist trades are completed.
Skills & Qualifications: *1-3 year’s leadership experience.
*3-5 year’s experience in a technical environment or skilled trades.
*Bachelor’s degree in related engineering field or 3-5 year’s experience preferred.
*Strong understanding of Machining, Electrical and Plant Maintenance Roles.
*Strong communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to lead, inspire, and engage.
*Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
*Strong organization skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize workloads.
*Demonstrated project management skills.
*Microsoft Suite proficiency, including Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
*Demonstrated ability working with a CMMS.
*Knowledge of Predictive Maintenance technologies including Infrared, ultrasound, oil analysis & CBM.
