The primary result expected from the Production Supervisor position will be supervising staff and organizing and monitoring workflow.
The Production Supervisor will monitor materials and supplies, resolve assembly problems, participate in our quality process, be a safety leader, and support the preventative maintenance system.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Directs and coordinates the activities of employees engaged in production or processing of goods.
Plans and establishes work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals Calculates labor and equipment requirements and production specifications, using standard formulas.
Determines standards, production and rates based on company policy, equipment and labor availability, and workload.
Reviews operations and accounting records or reports to determine the feasibility of production estimates and evaluate current production.
Confers with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems and complaints.
Confers with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within departments or between departments.
Reads and analyzes charts, work orders, or production schedules to determine production requirements.
Maintains operations data, such as time, production, costing, and prepares management reports Recommends or implements measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and efficiency.
Develops budgets and approve expenditures for supplies, materials, and human resources, ensuring that materials, labor, and equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets.
Develops and implements production tracking and quality systems, analyzing production, quality, maintenance, and other operational reports to detect and resolve production problems.

This is an operations position that spends some time sitting and a substantial amount of time standing and walking through a plant environment.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The main working environment for this position is the standard manufacturing plant environment.
The plant environment is climate controlled in some areas, however, will include exposure to heat and hot surfaces, cold, noise and odors.
Personal protective equipment is required in appropriate areas.
There may also be intermittent exposure to fumes, moving mechanical parts and tool vibration.
