Opportunity We’re looking for a new team member to join our family-oriented, flexible work environment.
As a Packer, you will be responsible for properly packaging finished materials per the customers specifications, the final check on quality, and supporting Machine Operators.
What we offer: This is a full-time position.
Hours of work are Monday-Friday 1:00 PM-9:00 PM.
Starting pay is $15.
25 per hour (based on experience level) with a $1.
00 per hour shift premium - potential for increases starting at 60 day and 120 day performance reviews! Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Short-term & Long-term Disability, 401k, education assistance, and more! Primary Responsibilities: Assist operator as needed.
Gain an understanding of the Ticket and where to find needed information.
Fill out Production Report and Carton Count Sheet from information from the Ticket.
Print out needed carton labels from Ticket information.
Get needed cartons at correct size per Ticket and label as needed.
Pack finished rolls in cartons on a pallet per Ticket information.
Must have basic mathematic understanding and can use a calculator.
Verify accurate count of finished rolls and cartons and record on Production Report and Carton Count Sheet.
Inspects rolls while packing into cartons, report any off-quality concern to operator or supervisor.
Gain an understanding of the Shrink Wrappers, how it functions, how to perform change overs and make adjustments as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work area with routine housekeeping throughout the shift.
Work as a team with other Packers on surrounding production lines when tables become full.
Perform other tasks as directed from supervisor.
Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
