Manager, Kohler Energy – 3rd shift
Location: Mosel, WI
This 3rd Shift Manager is responsible for all activities across third shift manufacturing at Mosel facility.
Value streams of responsibility include active assembly lines, components areas, and materials organization.
As shift manager, you will work closely with Cell Managers to execute targets of safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity.
The position will also champion continuous improvement activities and execute strategic business projects.
This is a full-time on-site position.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Lead a cross-functional team that is responsible for managing and improving the performance of the manufacturing operations in Mosel, WI.
This includes the manufacturing processes of controller assemblies, metal fabrication and paint, materials team, and assembly lines (A, C, D, E lines) supporting all markets of Industrial, Marine, and Towable products Develop annual goals to improve Safety, Associate Morale, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
Monitor, analyze performance and drive necessary action to improve these metrics via MDI, Tier Level Meetings, Root Cause Problem Solving and other methods.
Ensure that the duties and responsibilities of team members are clearly defined and communicated to them.
Monitor performance and review results with each member on a regular basis, provide coaching and developmental opportunities that enhance their skills and support their career aspirations.
Promote an atmosphere of team-based performance.
Drive associate engagement & retention through actionable development plans Develop and implement cross-training plans to upskill team members and provide coverage during absences.
Provide coaching and development opportunities for team members to participate in activities that enhance their skills and support their career aspirations.
Fully understand and interpret the labor contract, processes and policies affecting personnel administration.
Communicate on a timely basis, all pertinent company policies, and ensure that they are followed.
Work with Chief and Local steward(s) to address associate issues.
Promote harmonious working relationships between supervision, support functions and associates.
Direct / Sponsor continuous improvement and kaizen activities.
Prepare reports, work on special projects, and perform other duties as assigned.
RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS Reports directly to Operations Manager - Mosel Provides direct supervision for (5) Supervisors & (1) Engineer Union workforce of approximately 150 associates ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS Daily contact with direct reports to review production status and problem areas.
Frequent contact with Maintenance, Quality, Materials, Purchasing, Scheduling, Engineering and Superintendent.
Moderate contact with Human Resources, Safety Department, Facilities Engineering, Customer Service and Sales.

Representatives Occasional contact with customers in regard to production supply and quality problems Skills/Requirements · Bachelors Degree (Business or Engineering preferred) · Minimum of five years of manufacturing operations experience · Demonstrated Communication and Leadership Skills · Must possess a strong, stable temperament and is a decisive individual.
Should operate with a firm, but fair management style.

The salary range for this position is $91,950 - $116,800.
The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
