*Job Description:*
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) is responsible for overseeing the daily plant operations as well as our retail store.
They will ensure wholesale goods and products are planned, produced, and delivered on time and meet the required quality standards.
Additionally, the AGM will be involved in the pre-production planning as well as the production stage.
They will also assist in operations related to our Retail Store.
This could include merchandising our products, strategizing for sales growth, assisting with advertising needs and coaching the retail team to success.
A large part of the AGM responsibility is dealing with employee concern, production issues, and ensuring safety in all areas of the workplace.
*Duties/Responsibilities: *Performs the following responsibilities and procedures, work rules, expectations and behavioral standards.
* Reports daily to the assigned worksite to support all department.
* Responsible for overseeing all departments ( Production, Packaging, Shipping, Retail ) and assisting in monitoring production schedules, raw material ordering, production processes for efficiencies, inventory counts, inventory levels, safe product being produced, retail store growth, local store marketing, employee retention, etc.
* Responsible for overseeing the Retail Team to ensure the store is stocked, customer service is being held to a high standard, work flow and customer flow are efficient, wholesale orders are going out on time, etc.
* Responsible for all support staff not noted in these particular departments.
They will oversee all operations in the company to confirm that efficiencies are occurring, teams are operating well and projects are being completed.
* Responsible for day to day issues and problems that arise.
Will handle crisis situations and work with their fellow leaders to resolve conflict, machine down-time, supply issues, etc that occur daily.
* Responsible for attending daily meetings, as necessary.
* Responsible for providing leadership, motivation and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
* Responsible for providing employee reviews at appropriate times and implement changes, as needed.
* Support the Production, HACCP and Retail Managers in their absence.
* Support management by implementing company policies and goals
* Contributes to a safe, accident-free, working environment by abiding by all safety procedures and policies as defined by the Company and OSHA regulations
* Performs other duties as assigned based on experience, skills and business needs.
*Experience & Qualifications:*
* Manufacturing and/or Food Plant management experience a plus.
Previous Leadership/Team Management experience is necessary.
* Ability to multi-task in a high-paced environment
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team
* Experience working in computer programs such as Microsoft Word, excel, Outlook Excellent reading, writing and communication skills
* Demonstrated ability to comply with behavior standards and values.
*Education, skills, and proficiencies:*
* Required: High School diploma or equivalent.
* Must have Project Management and Leadership Management experience
* Experience in Meat or Food Production ( or equivalent experience ).

* Must be able to lift up to 20-50 pounds occasionally.

* Standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, lifting, stacking, & overhead reaching.
* May work in a cold environment
*Pay: Negotiable based on experience.
