SHIFT: Day/evening/weekend hours | Flexible based upon the needs of the College LOCATION: Lakeshore Technical College – Cleveland, Wisconsin POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the College’s audio-visual systems throughout the main campus and remote sites, providing help desk support, and supporting special events.
Coordinate activities with system users.
Complete technology projects as assigned.
Provide an exceptional customer service experience to both internal and external customers throughout every interaction.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (Other duties may be assigned): (70%) AV Support Services Coordinate, design, install, setup, and operate AV presentation systems, video conferencing technology, and other audio-visual equipment in classrooms, conference rooms, and other spaces at main campus and remote sites.
Communicate and coordinate activities with college departments regarding installations, support work, and special events including, but not limited to, graduations, awards banquets, team development days, and external meetings/presentations.
Configure audio-video software and hardware.
Provide end user guidance and training for audio-visual components and systems.
Work with vendors on special projects and to troubleshoot audio-video system issues.
Promptly escalate unresolved issues to the supervisor.
Research emerging technologies and trends, identify opportunities, and provide recommendations to drive innovation.
Maintain a refresh schedule of audio-visual equipment.
Provide Tier 1, 2, 3, and 4 help desk support for students, faculty, and staff.
Maintain a schedule of maintenance tasks, conduct maintenance, and document all work performed.
Review purchasing invoices to ensure equipment was received.
Recommend and draft new and updated procedures for critical processes.
(20%) Technology Projects Perform as Project Coordinator or project team member to complete Lakeshore technology projects.
(5%) Administration Recommend and review updates to Lakeshore technology policies.
Participate in events, committees, and meetings as required.
Complete required job-related training.
(5%) Manager Essential Responsibilities Carryout managerial responsibilities in accordance with set policies and applicable laws including: Assist in developing plan(s) and budget for department.
Address issues in an effective and timely manner.
Be an active advocate for LTC in the community.
Be active in the college by serving on committees.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide general direction to student workers, Youth Apprentice students, and other students as assigned by the College.
This includes ensuring each student is provided opportunities to expand their technical and customer support skill set.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related discipline required.
Two to four years of relevant occupational experience required.
Four years of professional AV installation, integration, or programming experience preferred.
AV installation and support experience in higher education environment preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSURE, REGISTRATION: Valid State of Wisconsin driver’s license is required.
MVR CHECK Required – The employee in this position is a potential operator of a Lakeshore Technical College owned vehicle or may be responsible for driving any other motor vehicles on behalf of the College.
TECHNOLOGY SKILLS: Avixa or other AV professional certification(s) preferred.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
).
Ability to navigate through Windows; access college network system; and download and manage various AV-centric applications and files.
Basic AV networking knowledge Ability to quickly adapt to new technology and be able to support any software or hardware that is used by the College.
OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of WTCS and LTC mission, vision, and strategic direction.
Ability to master software such as: Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral.
Use discretion, maintain positivity, and confidentiality.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear.
The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work environment may require multi-tasking.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Work hours may vary, depending on needs of the College, including evenings and occasional weekends.
In on-call rotation after normal work hours to support Technology Help Desk.
CONDITION(S) OF EMPLOYMENT: • Employment conditional on completion of a ground Information Disclosure (BID) and a Motor Vehicle Record Check with the results acceptable to the College.
