The Metal Ware Corporation is looking for a dynamic and energetic National Sales Manager – Housewares/Outdoor to oversee all aspects of key retail accounts and become an integral part of the sales team.
The ideal candidate will have national retail experience managing and selling in programs for key housewares/outdoor and small electric categories.
Metal Ware is a privately held company in the housewares and sporting goods industry, with both domestic and international manufacturing.
We are a 100+-year-old company with a dynamic management team focused on growth through technology, long-term strategy, and great employees.
We are preparing for our next 100 years as a private, family-owned corporation.
Metal Ware is the corporation behind national brands, including NESCO, CHARD, Carey, HSX, and Open Country, in addition to licensed brands including DeWalt.
Duties can include but are not limited to: Create and implement effective sales strategies.
Manage independent sales representative networks to achieve corporate sales objectives.
Provide leadership through effective communication of vision, active coaching, and development while comparing sales results to goals and taking appropriate action to correct when necessary.
Manage strategic national accounts.
Partner with the Vice President of Sales to provide timely and effective solutions aligned with client's needs.
Maintain competitive knowledge to create and adjust sales strategies.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
Manage to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
Proactively identify market and product trends to develop and modify strategies and tactics accordingly.
Establish effective relationships and collaborations with other departments (marketing, finance, customer service, etc.
) to address key business issues and opportunities.
Promote Company Core Values.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience required selling consumer products to national retail (mass market, small chains, and club stores), preferably in small kitchen appliances or sporting goods.
Experience in managing successful sales teams.
Able to coach and develop team members.
Demonstrate ability to craft effective sales plans and meet P&L objectives.
Solid understanding of retailer and regulatory requirements and issues.
Ability to effectively present information and negotiate with all levels of customer management, including CFO, CEO, and CMO.
Exceptional negotiation skills.
Ability to build positive working relationships, both internally and externally.
Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
Business-related computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
