Manitowoc County is recruiting for a Counter Clerk in the Clerk of Courts Office to join their team.
This position works in a fast-paced environment and accuracy and attention to detail are critical.
This position:
Accepts and processes new filings, receipts payments, and sets up payment plans.
Assists in daily balancing of cash drawers.
Provides clerical and administrative services to the public, including but not limited to: answering and directing incoming calls; waiting on customers at the counter, providing information, forms and procedural instruction, and referring customers to available court resources.
Provides administrative support to the Clerk of Court staff, including but not limited to: court record entry, entry of statistical information, scanning of all court documents for all case types, and other miscellaneous clerical duties.
Prepares bail bonds, assessment orders and conviction status reports for traffic and criminal intake.
Processes temporary restraining orders
A high school diploma and whatever combination of additional education and work experience provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
