Mahala’s Hope is a nonprofit organization whose primary purpose is to assist women in recovery from substance abuse and trauma.
We help change the lives of women and families in our community and surrounding region.
We are passionate about watching positive transformations happen in our residents, and we are searching for an occasional status shift counselor aide who desires the same.

The counselor aide supports, assists, and interacts with clients as needed and is a resource as an appropriate role model.
The individual must have knowledge of and support the philosophy of Trauma Informed Care, and be ready to help us change lives.
This is an occasional position, possibly part time.

*Essential Functions*
1.
Establishes an effective relationship with the clients and their families, exhibiting respect, empathy and sincerity.
2.
Maintains up to date, accurate, and understandable files, records and communication.
3.
Responsible for household duties and light office duties.
4.
Provides transportation of clients according to Mahala’s Hope policy as needed.
5.
Orientates new clients to Mahala’s Hope expectations and policies.
6.
Assists in orientation of new employees.
7.
Attends all staff meetings and in-services.
8.
Provides assistance to the director, administrative assistant and counselor when requested.
9.
Responsible for proper monitoring/recording of medications with clients.
10.
Additional duties, as required.
*Qualifications/Requirements*
· Position requires evening and weekend scheduling as program needs necessitate.
· High School graduate or equivalent.
· Knowledge of substance abuse disorder.
· Previous experience/knowledge of working in a transitional care facility.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Valid Driver’s License and a good driving record.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $9.
50 - $15.
00 per hour
