Job Description The Sheboygan County YMCA's Board of Directors is seeking a cause-driven, energetic, innovative, and visionary leader to serve as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Applicants should have competencies in fiscal mangement, building relationships, advancing the YMCA mission, leading operations, fundraising, and inspiring our volunteers, YMCA employees and our community.
The incoming CEO will be an experienced leader with a background and qualities to achieve excellence in operational management.
The CEO will possess a strong business sense coupled with outstanding interpersonal skills and a desire to become involved in our community.

Sheboygan County YMCA Facts Sheboygan County YMCA was founded in 1939, celebrating its 85th anniversary in 2024.
The Sheboygan Y Branch, built in 1954, sits on the banks of Lake Michigan and serves as the association’s main branch and headquarters.
The Sheboygan Y offers a full 125,000 square foot facility of program areas, locker rooms and administrative space.
Two additional Y branches are located in Sheboygan Falls, the Sheboygan Falls Y Branch, founded in 1976 and Camp Y-Koda, founded in 1969.
The Sheboygan County Y completed a major capital expansion in 2013 in all three Y branches.
The Sheboygan Falls Y, 7 miles from Sheboygan, sits on the Sheboygan River, the facility includes a gymnasium, child care center, multi- purpose room, locker rooms, outdoor program space and offices.
The Y contracts with the Sheboygan Falls School District to provide swimming pool access to Y members as well as two classrooms to house the Y’s before/after school 4K child care center.
The Y also contracts with General Capital to rent the Berkshire Gymnasium for additional program space.
Sheboygan Falls Y is the association’s 24/7 site.
Camp Y-Koda, an 80 acre parcel, is located on the Sheboygan River 10 miles from the Sheboygan Y.
Camp Y-Koda offers summer day camp, outdoor education, community events, and weeks of resident camp and adventure trips.
The camp includes a four acre pond, shallow, outdoor pool, main lodge with offices, kitchen, two large conference rooms, a meeting room and four bunk rooms.
Additional buildings include three large activity centers, a maintenance building, program support building with bathrooms, classroom and outdoor pavilion, and the Lohmann Lodge with a meeting room, kitchenette, and two bunk rooms.
Camp Y-Koda has a memorandum of understanding to offer programming at the Sheboygan Broughton Marsh and Maywood Environmental Park, City of Sheboygan.
The CEO supervises and manages the association’s three branch Ys.
An administrative team that includes the Finance Director, Business Manager, Facility Manager, and Membership Services Director serve the three Y branches.
Sheboygan Falls Y's and Camp Y-Koda’s leadership teams include an onsite Branch Executive Director program directors and support staff.
Sheboygan Y’s leadership team includes the program directors and support staff.

Accredited 4-year college degree 3.
Minimum five years of successful experience in a senior branch management role, preferably as a CEO, with a YMCA or related experience at a comparable organization.

Demonstrate financial expertise necessary to forecast financial trends while leading the organization to balance or surplus operations by growing earned revenue and controlling costs.
Demonstrate previous successful experience in making sound financial decisions.
Remain informed on operational issues, with the ability to quickly address any issues that might arise as well as forecast future needs.
